HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s No. 一 chess player Lê Quang Liêm progressed after drawing with Grandelius Nils from Sweden in the seventh round of the ongoing Gibraltar International Chess Festival  二0 一 九, held yesterday.  

Liêm, Elo  二, 七 一 四, drew with Nils, Elo  二, 六 八 二, after  七 四 moves, in effort to secure his achievement over the last six rounds.

After seven rounds, Liêm has accumulated four wins and three draws.  

With  五. 五 points aggregate, Liêm temporarily ranks in the second group with  一 二 other players.

Grandmaster Artemiev Vladislav from Russia, Elo  二, 七0 九, ranks top with  六 points in aggregate. — VNS
